The Daily Paul has a message for Ron Paul supporters

leave a comment

The support for Ron Paul seems very hardcore. That can be scary for a guy who I believe has some great ideas. There are some ideas I would wish he wouldn’t expound upon, however, what could hurt him is his supporters. So that’s where the Daily Paul comes in.

Precinct Captain Matt Tapscott 12/29/07

This video is from the Obama campaign

Matt Tapscott of Des Moines hit the streets of his neighborhood to canvass and speak with his neighbors about Senator Obama.

I haven’t really kept up with the inner workings of his campaign, but it almost seems as if the idea of a precinct captain is a holdover from Obama’s political career in Chicago. I don’t know if precinct captain exist in other parts of the country but they sure have helped many a politician in Chicago.

I am lawsuit abuse

One of the ads I’ve found over at the Capitol Fax blog the place to go for news in Illinois politics. This ad is for a website, Iamlawsuitabuse.org. Here is one of the stories that you may have heard about in the news.

This immigrant couple from Korea owned a Dry Cleaning business, but they ran into this judge whom they had the misfortune of misplacing his pants. After trying to settle with this judge he sued them for $54 million. The case was initially dismissed and they dropped their lawsuit against this judge for legal fees. The case is still alive though because the judge has sought an appeal of his dismissed case. In the meanwhile, the couple were forced to close two of their cleaners while they continue to operate their original store.

why republicans suck

leave a comment

When this individual was looking for articles on “why republicans suck” one of my posts were what he came up with. The post was about the then “top-tier” Republican candidates for President who already decided not to show up at a debate that was to take place at an HBCU. The bottom line is that right now Republicans suck and it doesn’t matter if you’re a conservative or a liberal.

To a liberal a Republican may always suck, but a conservative can be considered one of the bases of the Republican Party. If a conservative doesn’t have a home there that’s a problem. One could argue that the Republicans have become the home of “Christian Fundamentalists” or neo-conservatives. Some would allege that neo-cons are liberals in a conservative body.

I’ve taken to Flip That House

This show I’m watching on TLC right now. It’s got me interested in wanting to purchase a relatively inexpensive property and then attempt to turn a profit on it. A quick way to make a buck for sure, but certainly providing a service.

Most of this is do-it-yourself. I wouldn’t mind learning how to do plumbing, tiling, and other things that shouldn’t be too dangerous. Then hire people who know what they’re doing for everything else. At the same time something that was my handiwork, depending on the job I do, I’d love to live in it.

I have to say that this network has changed since the last time I was paying attention. Is it me or has it turned into a more lifestyle network?

U.S. Headed For Fiscal Crisis?

I found this video today. Hmmm, there’s a demand for these social programs and entitlements yet people seem to act like we can afford them. Or better yet as if they’re free, but they still cost something. To who? The taxpayers.

It seems there are those who are going to insist that the gravy train will continue but sometimes a gravy train has to make a stop.
